Your photos and devices

BackupDuck reads photos and videos you allow and sends selected originals directly to your paired receiver over the local network. Pairing, settings, transfer history, temporary files and diagnostic records are kept on your devices. The app does not provide a hosted photo library or a BackupDuck account.

The Android receiver saves gallery copies locally. Google Photos, when separately enabled by you, performs cloud backup under Google's settings and policies. Receiver delivery is not confirmation of cloud upload.

Permissions and sharing

Photo access lets the sender read your chosen library. Camera access scans pairing codes; local network access connects your devices. Mac folder access applies to folders you select. Optional Android accessibility-based space management reads Google Photos backup indications and performs the cleanup actions you enable.

Diagnostics and saved-photo records can be exported by you. They may contain filenames, device information and operational details; review them before sharing. Exporting a file does not itself upload it to us.

Website and updates

The website and update metadata are served through GitHub Pages or Vercel; app downloads are served through GitHub. Legacy update addresses remain on Vercel during the hosting transition. Requests to these services expose normal network information such as IP address and request headers to the providers. Language preference is saved locally in the browser.

Control and contact

You can revoke permissions in system settings and control backup, retained files and diagnostics in the app. Keep source originals until you have independently verified your backups. For support, use GitHub Issues; do not post private photos, pairing credentials or unredacted logs publicly.

官网和更新信息由 GitHub Pages 或 Vercel 提供，应用下载由 GitHub 提供；迁移期间旧版更新地址继续由 Vercel 提供。请求会向服务商提供 IP 地址等常规网络信息。你可以在系统设置中撤销权限，并在应用中控制备份和本地保存。公开反馈请避免上传私人照片、配对凭据或未脱敏日志。
